On 28 October, 2007, His Grace, Bishop Mercurius, Bishop of Zariask, and Administrator of the Patriachial Parishes in the United States, consecrated the new altar at St. John Chrysostom Russian Orthodox Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Consecration of New Altar

His Grace, Bishop Mercurius will consecrate our new altar on Sunday, 28 October, 2007.

His Grace, Bishop Mercurius, will travel from Holy Dormition of the Theotokoos Catholicon, Benld, Il., on Saturday, 27th October after attending the celebrations of their one hundredth anniversary.

Holy Dormition of the Theotokos Catholicon, 300 North Fourth Street, Benld, Il., 62009, will celebrate their 100th anniversary on 27th October, 2007. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 09:30 27th October, 2007, with the His Grace, Most Rev. Mercurius, Bishop of Zaraisk, as the principal celebrant.
