Welcome to the home of St. John Chrysostom Russian Orthodox Church. We invite you to join us in worship of the “Father, Son and Holy Spirit, The Holy Trinity, One in Essence and Undivided”.
All visitors to the parish are welcome!
St. John Chrysostom Russian Orthodox Church is located on the West Side of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was originally founded by immigrants from Eastern Europe in the early 1900s. Today, our members come from diverse cultural backgrounds, committed to living as witnesses to the truth of our faith in the traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church. Our parish uses both English and Church Slavonic and follows the ancient Julian Calendar.
Our parish is a member of the Patriarchal Parishes of the United States, which includes 32 churches in North America that are administered by Archbishop Justinian of Naro-Forminsk, the Vicar of His Holiness KIRILL Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. We are in full communion with the Patriarchs of Constantinople, Antioch, Alexandria, Jerusalem, and all canonical Orthodox jurisdictions.
